A Depth of Knowledge and Coaching Experience
Micah Barnes is a highly regarded vocal, performance and career strategy coach with decades of experience supporting his fellow artists in Canada, the U.S. and internationally. His clients include Juno and Emmy-winning performers, Grammy-nominated artists, and established international touring acts.
Micah served as Vocal Coach and Musical Advisor on three seasons of Canada’s Got Talent, among his many TV and film credits.
An Alma Records / Universal Canada recording artist, Micah toured extensively around the world as a member of the internationally celebrated a cappella group The Nylons. That first-hand experience as a recording artist and touring performer gives him a rare perspective on the vocal, performance and business skills needed to build a successful career in the music industry.
Through The Singers Playground Studio, Micah has coached recording and touring artists across virtually every genre, including Lorraine Segato of Parachute Club (five-time Juno winner), Monowhales (Juno Award winners for Breakthrough Group), and J.P. Saxe (Grammy nominee for Song of the Year), among many others.
